Governmental Hypocrisy

Canada remains unwaveringly loyal to the Jewish state (Israel), despite the ethnic cleansing it is perpetrating in Gaza and the colonization of the West Bank. Israel violates international law, making the creation of a state for the Palestinian people increasingly difficult.
The ongoing genocide in Gaza is militarily supported by the United States, with the less explicit involvement of the United Kingdom, and the duplicity of France, Germany, and most European Union countries.
Local media, both print and broadcast, are complicit with Canada by covering Israel’s crimes in a superficial manner. This allows them to avoid being accused of concealing the truth.
Our media merely refer to « deaths, » emphasizing that everything began on October 7, 2023, while free social media and independent newspapers have, for DECADES, revealed the truth about the situation in Palestine, with shocking images–such as Jewish soldiers dragging Palestinian bodies behind a tractor with a rope.
Likewise, our news outlets fail to mention Jewish organizations that advocate for a just peace in the Middle East, such as Independent Jewish Voices Canada (IJV).
Global conflicts concern us all, especially the communities living among us, not to mention the influence they have on our daily lives–for example, by driving up gas prices–reminding us that we are not isolated from the rest of the world.
